Learn to ride a bike at UMD

Who: Instruction is for UMD students, faculty and staff, 18 years and older. Instruction will be provided by trained bicycle police officers and outdoor recreation staff.
Where: Classes will be taught in campus recreation areas to be determined according to the schedules of the interested parties.
When: Class time will be customized to the needs of the interested parties. Contact us at transportation@umd.edu for more information on making an appointment
Why: Cycling is a rewarding activity that promotes heart health and reduced stress. bikeUMD works together with the UMD Wellness Initiative to promote healthier lifestyles for our students faculty and staff. Besides…it is a lot of fun and doesn’t require a gym membership.
What: Please bring your bike so we can help you get properly fitted. If you do not have a bike, a loaner can be arranged.
